Found myself strolling down memory lane the other evening, and have had a slight feeling of nostalgia ever since. With that in mind, I decided to take a slightly different approach to today’s Hamstring post.
So after a certain period of deliberation, I decided to come up with my 10 favourite ‘things’ from a given decade. The rules were simple … NO RULES! The list is comprised of events, moments, catchphrases, films, songs … and anything else that came to mind! Either way, they all still make me smile to this day.
The chosen decade is the 80s, a time of mullets and martini! So read, laugh, weep, and sigh … and of course comment! (Remember, they’re in no particular order!)

- Liverpool beat Everton 3-1 at Wembley, to complete the ‘Double in 1986. The only time I ever got myself out on purpose in a cricket match. Wanted to listen to the football!

- Duran Duran – ‘Girls on Film’ (video available here) – 1982
- Alf Stewart (Ray Meagher) hits our screens in 1989 on Home and Away

So there is my slightly random and personal look at the eighties! Were they acceptable … ?
